Simpson Jr. DMD, has been named the 2025 recipient of the Alphonse J. \u201cSkip\u201d Homicz Jr. Legacy Award by the New Hampshire Oral Health Coalition (NHOHC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cDr. Simpson was nominated and recognized by his peers across the state for being a true public health visionary in the field of oral health in New Hampshire. For decades, Dr. Simpson has tirelessly led the charge to ensure that all residents and especially the underserved across the Concord area have access and excellent and necessary dental care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Simpson, a colleague, and friend of Skip Homicz, knows firsthand the commitment and impact of Skip and he exemplifies the same. Dr. Simpson established Saving People\u2019s Smiles, a non-profit dental practice located in Concord, where he and his dedicated team provide needed services to the community. Additionally, he goes beyond and is an active leader locally and statewide; and is always ready to teach and lend a hand. His Saving Peoples\u2019 Smiles center is a critical safety net provider for multiple organizations, treating patients referred by state funded programs such as WIC, Transitional Housing, and the NH State Hospital. Simpson and his team are working towards eliminating disparities based on income, disability, and\/or economic status. Hoffman, DMD, has been named the 2024 recipient of the Alphonse J. \u201cSkip\u201d Homicz Jr. Legacy Award by the New Hampshire Oral Health Coalition (NHOHC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cDr. Hoffman was nominated and recognized by his peers across the state for being a public health visionary in the field of oral health in New Hampshire,\u201d said Gail Brown, Executive Director of the New Hampshire Oral Health Coalition. \u201cAs the founder and executive director of Dental Health Works, he has worked tirelessly for decades to ensure that all residents and especially the underserved across the Monadnock Region have access and excellent and necessary dental care.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cBeyond his laser-like focus on those in need, Dr. Hoffman has been a mentor to scores of aspiring oral health professionals,\u201d added Brown.&nbsp; Dr. Hoffman was honored at NHOHC\u2019s Annual Forum, held last December in Plymouth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a leader in public health dentistry, Dr. Hoffman established Dental Health Works in Keene in 2002 to help meet the oral health needs of Cheshire County, which at the time was a Dental Professional Shortage area.
